Remodeling that lasts

Built for desert pools.

A pool remodel in Phoenix isn’t a cosmetic project. Get the surface spec wrong and you’re back to scaling and staining in five years. We specify finishes, tile, and coping for Arizona conditions specifically — and back it with a single-contact project flow so nothing falls through the cracks.

Desert-grade finishes

We spec pebble, quartz, or plaster based on your water chemistry, sun exposure, and budget — not a single default. Surfaces selected for calcium tolerance and UV stability, not just color.

One contact, start to finish

One project manager from walk-through through final rinse. No “sub-contractor said the other sub-contractor should’ve done that” drama when phase three is running late.

Predictable timeline

Most resurfacing projects are 2–4 weeks from drain to fill. Bigger remodels 4–8 weeks. We give you a phase schedule up front and update you at each milestone.

Scope we handle

What a pool remodel typically includes.

Six categories of remodeling work we handle in-house or with trusted specialty partners.

Surface resurfacing

Plaster (marcite), pebble (exposed aggregate), or quartz finish. Complete chip-out, surface prep, coating, startup, and first-week chemistry care.

Waterline & accent tile

Tile replacement at waterline and throughout. Hundreds of color and style options, desert-stable grout matched to pool and architecture.

Coping replacement

Travertine, flagstone, brick, or poured-concrete coping. Matched to the deck and home architecture, installed with flexible adhesive for Arizona thermal cycling.

Deck work

Deck repair, cool-deck coating, paver upgrades, travertine or stone install. UV-stable sealers where sun exposure is heavy.

Water feature upgrades

Sheer descents, bubblers, spillways, raised walls, and basic spa integration. Plumbing and low-voltage lighting included in scope.

Equipment integration

Pump, filter, heater, automation, and salt-cell upgrades done concurrently with the remodel so you’re not draining and refilling twice.

Built for Phoenix conditions

Why desert pools need different remodel specs.

Three Phoenix-specific factors that should shape your remodel — and that we design around by default.

UV damage & fading

Desert UV bleaches plaster, fades colored coatings, and weakens rubber and plastic parts. We spec UV-stable finishes and coping materials that hold their color past year five, not just year one.

Hard-water scale

Phoenix water is hard. Calcium scales plaster and etches unfinished surfaces within weeks if startup chemistry is wrong. A proper 26–30 day break-in plus early-life calcium management extends your finish 20–30%.

Thermal stress

Hot-cold cycling from desert heat to overnight cooling stresses coping, tile, and plaster bonds. We prep substrates properly and use flexible thinset and sealers where the stress matters most.

How a remodel runs

Four phases from concept to fill.

Every phase scheduled, documented, and communicated — no mystery timelines.

On-site consultation

We walk your pool, test water, inspect existing surfaces and equipment, and talk through your goals. Flat quote with material and timeline options delivered within a week.

Prep + demolition

Drain, chip-out of old finish, tile removal, coping removal as needed. 3–5 working days for most pools.

Install + finish

New finish applied, tile set, coping installed, deck work completed. 5–12 working days depending on scope and weather.

Refill + startup

Controlled refill and 28-day startup chemistry program to break in the new surface properly. We handle this phase (included) so the finish cures correctly.

Our commitment

Here’s what’s in writing.

A pool remodel is a big-ticket project, and the reputation of the company you hired rides on every phase. Here’s what we commit to on every job.

Single project manager

One project manager from first walk-through through final rinse. One name, one phone number, one point of accountability when something needs a decision.

Flat-price scope, no change-order games

Every scope item priced flat up front. Changes only happen when you request them, with pricing in writing before work starts.

Post-install chemistry program

Every new surface gets a 28-day chemistry startup included. The first month is when a bad surface shows its failures — we’re there for it.

How long does a typical pool remodel take?

A basic resurfacing is 2–4 weeks from drain to fill. Tile and coping work adds about a week. Full remodels with deck, water features, and equipment run 4–8 weeks depending on scope, weather, and material lead time.

What finish do you recommend for Arizona pools?

For most Phoenix pools, we recommend pebble (exposed aggregate) or quartz finish over standard plaster. Pebble lasts 15–20 years versus 7–10 for plaster, tolerates hard water much better, and doesn’t show etching or calcium as quickly.

Does my pool need to be drained during the remodel?

Yes. Any surface work requires a full drain. We pump and dispose of the water properly, and we inspect the empty shell for structural issues before work begins — any unexpected findings are quoted in writing before we proceed.

How often should I resurface my pool?

Standard plaster lasts 7–10 years in Phoenix. Pebble finishes hold 15–20 years. Signs you’re due: rough spots that feel like sandpaper, visible etching, persistent staining that won’t brush out, or visible crack patterns.

Do you handle tile, coping, and deck work along with resurfacing?

Yes — and we strongly recommend doing them together if they’re close to end-of-life. Scheduling everything in one project saves a second drain, re-tile, and deck close-off later.

What drives the cost of a pool remodel?

Three factors: pool square footage, finish choice (plaster is the most affordable, pebble mid, quartz premium), and scope beyond surface (tile, coping, deck, water features, equipment). We quote each component separately so you can mix and match.
